New designs open for public comment

In March we came out to the public with first draft designs for Battlefield Rest, Battlefield Road, the junction at Queens Drive, the Monument and Mount Florida Corner. Your comments will help refine the concept design which will be further developed and presented this Summer.

Northern project area

Now we are looking at the next stage of the project, the northern project area. This incorporates one of the main connections between Battlefield and the city along Grange Road, Langside Road and Queen’s Drive. The proposals include cycle segregation and look at improving pavement widths , bus stop locations and simplifying junctions.

Leave your feedback by 14th June

There are three separate design proposals to view which include Grange Road and two design options for Langside Road. Below is an example of one of the designs.

Below is a cross section of one of the options at Langside Road demonstrating the road layout changes to incorporate segregated cycleways in the existing space. This design alongside others are available online following the link below.

The designs are now available online for public comments from today until the 14th June. Follow this link to view the designs – https://battlefieldproposals.commonplace.is/overview
