Upcoming Event: Battlefield Walking Audit 28 Jan

What better way to start the year than a walk in the fresh air! Join us for a walking audit of Battlefield on Monday 28th January. We will walk around Battlefield and learn from you on how to make the area more accessible, safer and attractive for moving around, no matter what age or ability.

Meet us at 11:00 am at the main foyer at New Victoria Hospital . We will have two different routes, one for faster walkers and one for more steady walkers, finishing with a hot drink and a chat at Finn’s Place (Langside Parish Church, 167 Ledard Rd, Glasgow G42 9QU).

A walking audit enables the local community to look at their local area to assess conditions and suitability for active travel and social interactions. The feedback collected from this event will help inform the design process with ideas/solutions along with the information collected so far.

Weekly Heath Walks

Our walking audit will be conducted as part of the Queens Park Health Walk , free and open to everyone. If you can’t join us on the 28th, your local Queens Park Health Walk runs every Monday and starts at the main foyer at New Victoria Hospital at 11.00am. Health Walks are a great way to take the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle and meet new people.

There are a number of Health Walks right across the city which are suitable for all ages and abilities. To find out more visit: www.goodmoveglasgow.com/walking .
